2+ Players - Card-shedding Game

This card-shedding game is reminiscent of Crazy Eights, UNO, and Mao: the goal is to shed all cards from your hand by following the active rules.

There are 3 “Rule” cards: “Border”, “Suit”, and “Number”. Set these 3 rule cards in the center of the table. Randomly select 2 of the rule cards to be face up and of the the rule cards face down. When a rule card is face up, you are allowed to match that attribute of a card.

Play progresses in turns. If you do not have a valid play, you must draw a card. Players can jump in and out of turn if they match the two active rules. If you match any two attributes (regardless of whether or not they are both active) on your turn, you may flip the disallowed rule face up, and another rule face down. You may, instead, also opt to skip a player or reverse turn order.

Due to the nature of jump-ins, faster play is encouraged and may result in errors - any erroneous play should return the invalid card to the owners hand with an additional draw from the deck (and a skip of their turn in the standard turn order case).
